How It Works

Invisacook is installed beneath your countertop, using advanced invisa-induction technology to heat compatible cookware directly through the surface. This creates a fully functional cooking zone that blends seamlessly into your kitchen — no visible hob required.

Invisacook works with 12mm or 20mm porcelain or selected granite worktops. While both are compatible, porcelain is recommended for optimal performance — it’s highly durable, scratch and stain resistant, and allows for the most efficient heat transfer.

Because the system doesn’t generate direct heat from the countertop itself, the surface remains cool and safe to touch, meaning you can use the space as a standard worktop when not cooking.

Compatible Cookware

For best results, use full-clad stainless-steel pans with magnetic properties on both the bottom and sides. This ensures efficient, even heat transfer.

Not all induction pans will work

To check, place a strong magnet on the bottom and sides of your pan — it should stick firmly. Weak or no magnetic pull means it’s not suitable for Invisacook.

Cast iron?

While cast iron will technically activate the induction system, it heats up too quickly and can transfer excessive heat back into the countertop, increasing the risk of damage or failure. For this reason, cast iron must not be used with Invisacook.

Best choice: InvisaCookware

Invisacook offers its own specially designed cookware range, InvisaCookware, engineered for optimal performance and safety.

Invisamat

When using Invisacook on porcelain or granite countertops, the InvisaMat supplied must always be used (unless you’re using InvisaCookware).

This raised, ridged silicone mat is essential because it:

  • Disperses excess heat, protecting the induction unit and surface

  • Prevents cookware from sliding, improving safety while cooking

  • Contains spills, making cleaning easier and keeping the surface mess-free.

  • Without it, heat can build up under the cookware and reduce the lifespan of the system.

FAQs

How do I know where the cooking zones are?

Each burner includes an audible beep locator when turned on. You can also request custom etching, small notches in your worktop to discreetly mark the location of the burners. Some users choose to apply temporary stickers during the first few weeks to get familiar with the layout and ensure confident cooking without visual markings.

Can I cook directly on any worktop?

No — Invisacook is designed for use under 12mm or 20mm porcelain and certain granites that have been tested and approved. A full list of compatible worktop materials can be found here. We personally use The Top by Marazzi porcelain and found that this works well.

What are the electrical requirements?

Invisacook requires a 220V power supply and professional installation by a qualified technician.

Can I use Invisacook without the InvisaMat?

Only when using InvisaCookware, which features a built-in riser system. In all other cases, the InvisaMat must be used.

Is this system available for direct purchase online?

No — Invisacook must be purchased through approved dealers to ensure correct specification and support.
